Creating
The rough textures, fluid inks, and open space creates
a two–dimensional environment for the shadows of being
to illuminate from raw materials. Each painting opens a space
for the mutable flight of everyone’s reverie and true exploration.
My portraits contain both resemblance and the changeable essence
of unique beings caught in a particular moment.

I am moved to evoke invisible realms behind the form of painting.
Like ancient beings drawn on the walls of a cave, like spirits escaping
from a fire, like the bubbling life of a lava flow. The essence of Being
shines through the fibers of the fabric used to paint.
